Bell's Palsy

Bell's Palsy is a condition that causes sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of your face, leaving your eyelid and the corner of your mouth droopy.

What is Bell's Palsy?

Bell's Palsy is caused by inflammation of the facial nerve, which may occur due to viral or bacterial infection. It causes sudden weakness or paralysis

of the muscles on one side of your face, making it difficult for you

to perform facial expressions.

Signs and symptoms of Bell's Palsy include:

  • Drooping eyelid and corner of the mouth

  • Drooling

  • Dry mouth

  • Eye irritation, such as dry eyes or excessive tears

  • Facial or ear pain

  • Difficulty making facial expression like smiling

  • Difficulty closing one eye
