What is Stroke?

Stroke is considered a medical emergency and is also called Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA) . It occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked

or ruptures, and the flow of the blood to the brain stops. The disruption

in blood flow in the brain causes cell death.

The brain is a complex organ that controls many body functions. If a Stroke occurs and there is a lack of blood supply in an area that controls a specific function, that part of the body will not function as it should.
